The purpose of this organization is to promote the visual arts in the Lowcountry area, to produce exhibitions and shows, to provide artistic learning experiences at all levels; to promote artistic activities within I’On community and the community at large, and to build a reputation as a thriving art community.

Fundamentals of Painting with Acrylics with Tate Nation
Saturday, Sept. 19, 10:00am - 2:30pm (bring your own lunch) With a strong emphasis on composition, acrylics painter Tate Nation will discuss the basics of color usage, materials and technique, as well as how to approach and get started on a painting in this one-day workshop. Expect lots of individual attention as students create a small painting.

Held at Permar, Inc., 76 Wentworth Street (at corner of Wentworth and King - old Kress department store building, across from Yo Burrito).
 
$80 Gibbes Members, $95 for non-members
